Hello Richard and all others,
it's time to think. Yes, I was indeed very "thin-skinned" (as we say
in germany) about the publishing of this components sheet of the
claptrap (Was there anybody noticing, that this components sheet was
the MUSICAID ClapTrap without humaniser, not the Simmons Mark 1 :-)?
I was really angry, but this has other reasons:
There are many members having schematics, eproms, knowledge a.s.o..
They simply sit and read the posts, glad that they have so much more
information than the rest. Sharing something? Nope! If I ask for
something, I get replies like "what are you willing to pay for it?".
Yes, I wait for the SDS6 CPU board schematics. Still!!! I know, who
is the one who has these and doesn't want to share them! I also know
the guy who downloaded my private eprom binaries (...fat kick...) and
now sells them on ebay!
Black sheep?
What would you think about doing some things together, like buing the
large collection of eproms on ebay, making copies for each one in
this group. Sharing schematics and giving help. Building up a real
database. But it can't be, that only a handful of members is willing
to keep the spirit alive and the others simply participate and turn
thumbs.
Another fact is, that many members of our group are doing the same
research and documentation work. So the SDSV hihat and cymbal theme,
schematics, cloning a.s.o.. I have also finished this until 95%, and
I am quite ready to clone an SDSV as I did it with SDS3. Why can't we
work together? I gave the REAL schematics of the SDS3 to anybody who
asked for it. But there was no favour I got back. Simply NOTHING.
There are only few people I can work together, my main man is Thierry
EPPHERRE from France, we share everything (but our girl friends).
So I hope, you understand my reaction better now. One day I will get
the schematics of the SDS6 CPU and I will take revenge and: publish
it unauthorized!!
Have a nice day.
Michael

Sorry Michael if I offended. I made a note in a text in the folder
that the items did not come from me. I had them a on a CD I have many
manual scans on and the files were dated from 2 years ago.

I did not intend to simply post anyone's personal work and had I
known it had come from someone on this list I certainly would have
asked first.

I have removed the offending item as well as the schematic (due to
not knowing it's source)

I was simply trying to assist in a group member repairing his unit.

I apologize for the indiscretion and will refrain from further
posting
   of schematics and info etc.

I don't understand why people become "touchy" about things like this.
I have spent 30yrs of my life repairing and assisting people in
keeping the older gear running. I too have spent many hours at my
expense retracing pcb's etc and have them all on file. My most recent
effort I mentioned on this group and pertains to a complete
reverse engineering of the SDSV. I have 95% completed this and at
this point if someone wanted to build a complete SDDSV from my info
they could.(including the hihat and cymbals)

I was in the process of putting together a WEB Site to make my
work available but as of this point I think I will refrain.

Again sorry for causing you the concern. If you had contacted me
off group I would have dealt with it.

   Cheers

   Richard
