The SDS8 has one more Tom channel, the SDS800 has the (in my oppionion boring) "second skin" Filter and the (also boring) "run genrator", a cold comfort for the missing channel. As a drummer I would miss the third tom, so my favourite (out of your choice of course): SDS8 is the lesser of the two eveils ;-) If you are talking about complete packages containing brain AND pads: The SDS800 came with much better (Mark IV) pads --- In Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com, jesper <jesper@...> wrote: > > memtechlist skrev: > > > > > > hi all ppl, please could you tell me what would you be most desirable. a > > SDS8 or SDS800 ? and why? > > > > cheers! > > > I haven't used the SDS-800 but heard good things about it.
