Am I understanding this correct? You use individual out of the rx5 and 
send that to the 6,3 mm input trigger jacks of the SDS-7?

I have no rx5 experience but my bet is that the trigger level is way 
off. Do you mean that the digital sounds are too loud or far too low. 
I'd expect loud with the use of "saturated" but want to check.

Have you and means to check the voltage level of the rx5 outputs?

My guess is that you get one voltage when playing the rx5 live and 
another when the sequencer is in use.
