Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi,

I am very curious about the MTM's kit function. Is the hi-hat decay amount identified on the MIDI part or is it just analog variable resistor signals only for the SDSV and SDS7 hi-hat control?

What I am wanting to do is come up with much simpler kit made of a Simmons MTM as the interface, either a Simmons SDSV (for quality) or SDS8 (for size) as the analog drum sound source, and a midified LinnDrum as the MIDI-controlled digital sample sound source.

I don't know really, I have been trying to read the manual, and I don't own an MTM but I have been wanting to purchase one since 2002.
