I have hopes of CEM's and SSM's getting re-made just like so many other 
odd parts of the past. Also, I have synths which are a decade or so 
older (minimoog, odyssey, SEM etc) and they have all needed very little 
fixing this far.

All old things fail sooner or later and yes, you need to have cash or 
skills or both to fix it, but it can be done.

Also, the _SOUND_ still kicks every Alesis, Yamaha and Roland butt out 
there.

BTW, of all my Simmons gear it's most likely so that the "fragile" SDS-7 
is the one which has seen most gigs, having toured with Ultravox. Maybe 
a "tuesday-copy"? ;)
