Hi guys, I have this "Fade To Grey" sound programmed as a preset in my SDS V and it's exactly the same...and goes way below 50Hz, so beware of your speakers ! Propaganda has kind of the same sound in Dr.Mabuse and it's one of my favorite Simmons sounds ever :-) I don't think neither the SDS 9 or the SDS 8 (I own both, too) can do the same as the SDS V sonically. The "real" long version of Fade To Grey was released in 1981 on Canadian Polydor together with We Move, Frequency 7, Blocks On Block and Tar ! All others 12"s were just the single mixed in a row twice. The long version was then included again on The Collection ! Hope that helps calming down the discussion ;-) Here's another one: i have two different versions of the Tar single and do you guys know the Frequency 7 track with vocals and speeded up on the b side ? Just to light the fire even more...
