I couldn't agree more
I reprogrammed my MTMs (what a pain) because of that ...Too noisy in  
the studio !
The Drumkat is so great in that context, despite the pain to program  
it too ..

The fact is that when you have a massive side-fill monitor, then  
you're quickly in trouble with your triggering, the monitor will trigg  
your module ...
You'll play harder & then discover the crosstalk between pads ...
that's probably for this other reason Simmons had to make some  
evolutions of their pads, with suspended surfaces.
& that the TMI had a crosstalk manager in its functions.
