Here's some that are pretty much what you are looking for. Plus you still get the nostalgic look of the v's: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Simmons-Electronic-Drum-Kit-Pads-RED_W0QQitemZ120346631219QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVintgae_Drums_Percussion?hash=item120346631219&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A570%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 Regading the sore bones, you may want to try adjusting the angle in which you strike the drum. If you're wrist is at an angle when hitting them, you will experience much more fatigue. Try "flattening" out the angle of the drum for a more natural and ergonomic feel. May not look as cool from the audience, but your wrists will thank you... - Roland The Reason i chose sds7 is pure nostalgia and name , I am aware that sds7 pads aren't among the greatest but to me as long as they are in very good shape both rubber and exterior , i wouldn't mind . The bloody sdsv's are killing my wrists and technique. Thank you for your info nevertheless , Sander - Roland http://www.myspace.com/roland_brenner http://home.rr.com/zengine ____________________________________________________________ Save $15 on Flowers and Gifts from FTD!
