Yes and Yes. I asked him if he could give me a brief history and this was his reply for those interested: I bought a 7 piece Simmons kit with hardware and a SDSV brain in 1983. $3500. This was the 15th made. I went to the factory in Calabassis, California. I then joined Nina Hagen's band for some Germany dates. Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers had been in Fear with me and he knew Nina. I stayed for several months in Berlin while we toured all around Germany. Average audience size, 10 thousand. After I got back in '84 I started playing Fear shows with the same kit so I could compete with two Marshall stacks and an Ampeg SVT bass rig. I used to rent my own SVT for a monitor. I used it on the second Fear album and the US tour that followed. (More Beer_1986) I thought it would bring me some session work but when I finally got a call for it on a paying session they didn't even want me to play. I hope that helps. Tim aka Spit Stix There you have it ! - Roland http://www.myspace.com/roland_brenner PS - Thanks for the video link Wolfgang ! I initially scoured the internet and couldn't find anything. He apparently lives in Portland, Oregon now. Me too! http://www.sol-i.tv/TLeitch.html --- In Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com, "superwolle70" <superwolle70@...> wrote: > > Here you are.
