Hi Roland , What's the question in fact ? What do you mean by media issue, what drive are you talking about ? the floppy or the zip ? I personnaly never had any problem with the Zips...It always had been recognized at once... the termination switch is behind the Zip Unit close to the ID ... I guess the External Zip is always appearing like the last ID, probably bc it's the last slot to plug in on the motherboard. My Zip Id is 5 or 6... can you check that you haven't got to ignore (again as usual with the SDX...) messages & continue formatting process for example ?... & yes the external drive has exactly the same use as the internal one ... When you change disk just ignore error messages (clicking on '' NEW " for example ...). Let us know ... Patrice.
