About the "Checksum failed" message ...`
I sometimes get that one even with a disk that is still working  
afterwards ...

There's something random in the SDX booting...

BE aware as well to disconnect the midi when booting !

Apparentmy the OS boot is going through the midi ...
don't ask me why or how, but I've heard of that ! & actually 2 times  
on 3 the sDX is crashing while booting with the midi connected...
