Re: [Simmons Drums] SDX Formatting Screenshots

2008-04-10 by Patrice Jacquot

I think the subject is right at the place it deserves...
For me no problem... but we can see that in private if people feel
bored or offended ...

But I think it's really interesting for anyone of the group who uses
the SDX.
It stays the Simmons Flagship ... ;- )
& a good example of the classic problems ...

About the HD...Mmmh...
could you find & try an external HD , Zip or syquest ?

Anyway,
I remember that it always been a hard time to format my HDs...
Keep trying , it might work without apparent reason...
The method I gave you is the official one...& I suppose there are not
many other ways to do it ...

Could you describe precisely yours ?

Now the SDX unit or the HD might have a problem...Did you speak to the
previous owner ?
How did he use it ? with no Hard drive ???
I'm surprised ...

The most surprising is that the unit recognize the HD but can't finish
the formatting...
You could try the same method with different OS ...
the system might be corrupted...

Be sure that your Mobile phone isn't agains't your console, it might
pertube the engine...
It can sounds stupid but... who knows ...
Be sure as well to have your midi disconnected !

Good Luck...
Patrice.

PS When I read my faxes from dave I fall on that ; "SDX was designed
for a non removable drive"...
so it should work ! ...at some point...
