Hey Guys I recently restored a set of SDS8 pads, so I'll add my findings as well. Be carefull when sliding the screwdriver under the staples, don't press on the plastic shell with the screwdriver too hard or the plastic may bruise and turn white, or worse, break. Lift the rubber sides up carefully, it can be old and a bit brittle and may crack and break. Perhaps think about replacing the 6.5mm (1/4) jack socket while the pad's apart. Given the pads are 20+ years old, all my sockets were a bit wonky. I also removed the resistor while I had the pads apart. I'm using them with a DM5 at the moment so had to do this. When using the pads with my Simmons modules, I can just add the resistor to an adaptor on my leads if I need it.
