From earlier discussions it sounds like it's the way they are copied that's the problem. You don't get "cheap eproms", they're all pretty much made by the same fab and cost about the same. In any case, it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference what they were used for before. And - as Jesper says - they're always worth checking for crunchy goodness before erasing. One of my favourites is an EGA BIOS ROM... Gordon
