They are "in" : )
I'm just waiting on the proper screws for mounting the slider board,
and then testing and shipping... next week?????

I'm very excited too -- a lot of work (especially for Ian!) and money
to get this all happ'nin', but it will be well worth it.

Very soon... I'm out of screws for mounting the sliders.
Oddly, M2 5mm black screws are hard to find at a good price.

RE: [ModularSynthPanels] Re: DDVCO

2009-01-29 by Dave Halliday

I was going to ask if you tried Fastenal but they only have zinc finishes...

Grainger does have some nice cap-head screws but being Grainger, you are not looking at the "good price" aspect.

Fastenal generally charges a couple bucks for 100 small machine screws. Grainger is asking $14.37 for item 6CE31 which is 100 of the following description:

Socket Head Cap Screw, 12.9 Alloy Steel, Furnace Black Finish, Hex Socket, Thread Size M2X0.40mm, Drive Size 1.5mm, Decimal Equivalent 0.079 In, Thread Type Metric, Fully Threaded, Right Hand Thread Direction, Length Under Head 6mm, Head Height 2mm, Head Dia 3.8mm, Thread Class 5g6g, Rockwell Hardness C39-C44, Min Tensile Strength 176,900 PSI, Meets DIN 912/ISO 4762, Package 100

Good luck!
Dave

Hi Scott

Maybe give Fastenal a call -- these weren't listed on their web page but it might be a special order option.

Good luck!

Still waiting on the $#%#$%#$ screws. They should be here next week.
I'm frustrated, too. I have a ton of kits ready to ship, taking up
sparse room, waiting on something as banal as screws...
