--- In kawai_sx210@yahoogroups.com, "Mark Daborn" <darkest.yugo@n...> This reminds me of my sx 240. I had a short somewhere. I went from no sound to random jumping lights. I never isolated the short, but with a few pieces of small foam board was able to stabalize the main pc board within the frame to cut out the short in a good working position. I would recommend using mono to at first. Some of my patches on poly 8 are noise, but in mono are heavenly. and vice vera..... My 210 functions perfectly and yet to run out of amazement over it's capability. So please seek a pro before too much is done. Anyway good luck wrote: > Hi, my SX-210 is still non functioning. > > At present, after replacing the battery which had leaked everywhere, poly 8 mode produces mostly silence except occasionally when the correct tone sounds. I plan to fault find the main pcb as soon as i can get a chance to do it. It has been suggested that i soak the pcb in de-ionised water to try to draw out the conductive ions. > > Thanks for all your help. If anyone has a copy of the service manual, that would assist me no end!
