Hi, Did anybody use the disposable aluminium trays (the one you use for food) for the developing, washing and etching of a PCB? Thanks Zohar

developing what ? If NaOH, then no. Washing is ok. Persulfate etching might be ok for short while, or only until the aluminum oxide layer holds out. FeCl3, CuCl2+HCl, forget it. Whats wrong with non disposable plastic trays ? zohar_golan wrote:

Cleaning is at most a quick rinse. I don't even rinse the developer, just dump the solution and put away in the storage box for next time. Dried salts left from a previous PCB session is not going to effect anything. Adam. zohar_golan wrote:

About the worst thing you could use. Both developer and etchant will eat aluminium. I use cheap plastic food containers.
