Re: Getting Started With Epson C88+ and EZ Inks

2015-03-26 by haroldeastman1984@...

Paul,

Thanks for your suggestion. I would love to use the Cone inks because I've read good stuff about them.

I have a sneaking feeling that I bet on the wrong horse with MIS and the C88. I was captivated by the idea of getting quality prints from a $100 printer, the C88. Too captivated, looks like.

As for empty carts from InkJetMall, I checked on their web-site and discovered that they don't sell them for the C88.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may indeed need to rethink matters and move to a 1400 or 1430 and a set of Cone inks. Pricier, but perhaps the only real option.

Harold

I bought a set of empty carts for my 1400 from Inkjet Mall:

Jon Cone claims his carts contain chips that work in all incarnations of the 1400 and 1430, and are manually resettable with a resetter also available from him. Again, I realize this printer is not being discussed here but perhaps InkjetMall has other empty cartridge sets for the C88 printers that are manually resettable. I was never quite comfortable with the ARC types of carts.

My $0.02,

Paul
