Digital BW, The Print

I created an acv curve that works very well with the full UT14 ink set on glossy papers. When I developed the curve, I began with a Paul Roark curve and tweaked the blue channel, which after some adjustments controls surface defects caused by the Eboni ink on gloss paper very well. 

I had thought that the curve was controlling the amount of Eboni put down, but after reading the article on 2K-2LK ink, I noted the statement that, "blue controls yellow". 

Am I incorrect on my assumptions about controlling the black and actually just putting more GLOP on the black areas, using the yellow cartridge of the UT14 set? A screen shot of the curve is available at http://sdrv.ms/Wsi19D.
