Hi Jade, Although my experience is with a PM-16, not a TMC-6, I suspect the theory is the same. A trigger to Midi interface device converts a pad hit to MIDI information, then sends it to another device to process. On the PM-16 what I did was to assign a MIDI note number (plus some other stuff) to each of the pads directly attached to it. Then, on the DTX you define a sound that is associated with each of the MIDI note numbers you assigned on the PM-16. The result was that you hit a pad attached to the interface, the interface converts that to a MIDI note number to be played, and sends that to the DTX module. The DTX module determines what sound is assigned to that MIDI note number, and sends it off to the tone generator to play. I expect that the TMC-6 works the same, although the way you assign the MIDI info on it may be a little different than the PM-16.
