The one in my AN1x is dim for well lit situations, but seems to be LED backlit, at the edges, so not going to get worse I d think. My SY-77 is another story.

The AN1x can play arpeggiated chords but does not have chord memory like a workstation. You would need to use a DAW to play chords remotely.
