That'd be a good idea. IIRC, the control servo in the SN Voice has a cap to overcome the pickiness exhibited by the XR VCO, but it sure wouldn't hurt for someone to try it out.

I remember something about the 444 not being subbed in a circuit but I think it was the XR-2206 Based VCO
I can do a swap out and see how the Sn Voice copes with the 74 op amp and post the results later

Maybe a 324 would be a safer bet in case there's some power rail action going on. That sure was tech talk.
