Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi Guys,
i"m new here...and I truly hope someone can help. I've had my mp-7 
for about a month now, and i have found some pretty strange things 
about it, BUT up until now it did what I needed it to do. All of a 
sudden, when I am playing an external synth from the keypad I cannot 
see the changes in the note values when in the Grid screen as I play 
different keys. It worked fine when I got it, but now it's screwy. I 
also thought that the way to setup for triggering external gear was a 
bit goofy. In the channel assign screen, when I choose either int, 
ext, both or none the internal sounds always play no matter what...SO 
instead I did what it said in the manual, and used the Midi Enable 
screen to turn "off" parts that I wanted to trigger externally only. 
That seemed odd to me, but it worked, until today. Has anyone else 
had any issues like this? Thanks in advance for your response!
