Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I've noticed that E-MU is now offering the new drum library as a ROM.  My slots are 
full up, but I thought of something, what if I took my XL-7 ROM out and replaced it 
with the new ROM?  I don't use too many of it's synths much as I perfer the real time 
tweakability of my Korg MS2000R.  I'm sure I'd have more use for extra drums as I 
mainly hope to use this box as a percussion sequencer.  Maybe I'd have been better 
off with the MP-7 or PX-7, but I couldn't pass up the $420 new price I got.  Anyone 
hear a PX-7 yet?

On the other hand, I'm raving mad, as I've already got so many damn sounds I'm sure 
I won't get through all of them in the next decade.

It's ok Mark, just slowly step away from your wallet. It's just that 
bad old gearahol, getting into your brain. 

No point in trying to beat it, but you can probably fight it off long 
enough for the prices drop, or for you to find a used one....

But the only way I can distract myself from this horrible dead end tedious job is by 
buying more gear! ;)

The question was more curiosity about the XL-7 and its reliance on having that ROM 
installed.
