Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hey,

Not having a simple way to just wipe a pattern clean, I've been starting with the demo 
patterns and just killing each track and changing everything.  I'm on pattern #3 which 
is called Lily's Love.  When I get to track 4 I'm able to erase the track but no matter 
what preset I put in there, when I try to play it I get something similar to an audition 
of that sound.  I can't figure out what's going on.  I turned off the arp and even tried 
changing it, to no effect.  Any idea what's going on?

Why not just copy a blank Pattern over the Pattern you want to use?  I 
leave a blank Pattern at User location 000:0 for just this purpose. 
Without knowing what your Pattern and track settings are for that 
Pattern/Track, going to be hard to trouble shoot this.  Sounds like you 
have the arp on for that Preset though.

It's really weird.  I have figured out how to control the preset's arp as well as the 
global arp and I've turned them both off to no avail.  Is there another way to turn off 
the arp?  I was able to change all the perimeters on the arp but not turn it off.  Weird.
