Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I have the mo-phatt rom, loaded in my xl-7, I would rather have the 
MP-7 rom or the rom in the MK-6. same sounds, different presets and 
patterns.
Just thought I would check. see if anyone would switch
I also have the emty mo phatt rack module

they're the same no? save for different presets. If you took the rom 
out of the MP-7, wouldn't you lose the preset data (ID)? as it is 
stored in the memory of MP-7 unit? I'm not so sure bout this...can 
anyone clear this up?
