Well, I'm assuming you're talking about Song mode right?  IE, you have a 
finished Song in the XX-7 you want to transfer 1 track at a time into 
Sonar?  Here's how I did it for my contest songs awhile back:

- On the XX-7, go to the Midi Menu and make sure the Clock is set to 0 BPM 

(ext), External Song Strat/Stop is On.

ok, i'll try to turn off midi enable for other tracks
