same preset in two...pattern/songs

2001-12-04 by elmu elmu

i use one preset sound in two or more pattern. so i
have different quick edits in the preset sound, but i
have to save the preset to one location so i have to
to do the right qick edit before every new
pattern/song. is this right or i`m doing something
wrong? i hope there is a better solution for that...
thanks for your help!

Why not just save the preset with a new name for each pattern you use it in?

thanks for your answer, but in my opinion in can only save the
presets one time. it doesn`t matter which name I take. there is not
any user preset bank for saving my presets, isn`t it? why doesn`t the
quick edits are saved within the pattern saving?
thanks for replying.

It sounds like you're just saving the pattern, no? And that it's not
saving all your quick edits too? That's because you need to save Quick
edits as part of the Preset, not the Pattern. Each track in your pattern
is made up of the sounds of a seperate Preset. Any time you make a change
to a Preset (via Quick Edit for instance) you need to save that Preset
before editing another one. Press Save/Copy, then scroll until it says
Save Preset To: Now you can select one of 128 locations in 8 banks to
save your Preset in! Hope this helps, and that I'm not misunderstanding
you!

yes, you misunderstand me. I know that I have to save my quick edits
for each preset, but when I use the same preset in different pattern
or songs I don`t know what to to. in different pattern or songs the
preset have different quick edits, but I can save this preset to only
one location so that I have to remember me the quick edits for each
pattern/song because I can`t save it for each pattern seperatly.
thats my problem!
thanks for your help!
