YES - you should look into the Roland XV sounds! Man, they are hot! Try
the XV-5080 if you want sample playback and an extensive library. If not,
try the XV-5050 or you could find an XV-3080 on Ebay used. GREAT sounds.
If you want a keyboard with these sounds, Roland has the Fantom or Fantom-S
series it has most of the XV sounds with expandability. Also, you may check
out the new MOTIF rack by Yamaha! All sounds in the module are sampled and
are very sweet! Both the Motif and Roland's XV series are vully exapndable.
If you want keys here, Yamaha makes the MOTIF in 61, 76, or 88 weighted
keys, or you could check out the S-90. It seems that if you have the K2500
you would not need a keyboard. Both of my suggesstions are great for
hip-hop, jazz, r & b, or loop-based msuci. I hope this helps.

I agree on the Roland units. I want to have less keys, I'm selling
my XP60, but buying a XV5050. I just really like Roland sounds. I
have a XL7, Karma and a Kurzweil 2661 when it comes out(it's already
paid for).
I had a Yamaha CS6X at one time, so I was interested in getting the
Motif Rack. However, in the review that Sound on Sound did, they
reported that the MIDI timing was rather sloppy. Yamaha said they
were going to look into it, but I have not heard anything else about
it since I've read the article. Just keep that in mind.
