Re: [xl7] REPEAT in LIST

Re: [xl7] REPEAT in LIST

Gotcha! I was trying doing it slightly out of order. I would press
Repeat, then try to scroll to the new event to make my changes. I thought
the whole "not having two events at thr same location" thing took effect
when you left Pattern Edit mode, oops! I knew I should have read the
addendum again! Oh well, you know how it is when you're deep into making
a new track...

Thanx again Aaron!

Bottom line? Press repeat, edit the event, increment. Repeat, edit,
increment.

You can only have one event of the same type at the same time in a
track. For example, you can't have two controller #7 messages at
1.01.001. When you press repeat in the list editor, you are copying the
current event into a "temporary" event.

Once you've done that, you should edit the event into being what you
want it to be (by changing time, event, or other). When you increment
to a different event (by using the <-> field or with "spin/enter") the
XL-7 tries to insert that event. If you haven't edited the event yet,
it remains as a duplicate, and therefore cannot be inserted into the
sequence.

Bottom line? Press repeat, edit the event, increment. Repeat, edit,
increment.

Enjoy!
