In a recent post, I mentioned I'd upload images of the Guitar Center rebate coupon and catalog picture of the ad. They are now in the files section as: Guitar Center XL-7 Catalog Price.jpg Guitar Center XL-7 Rebate Form.jpg I hope this will work as a pricematching resource for you. Enjoy, Brian

Where exactly did you get these flyers originally, so I know what to tell the guy when I call? Was the one you got a demo? If it was, what you people here consider is a fair price for the floor demo. I know of a mom & pop store who might still have one... In case this GC thing doesn't pan out.. thanks. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "Brian" <synthmusic@y...> wrote: > > In a recent post, I mentioned I'd upload images of the Guitar Center

Thanks Brian. I believe Musician's Enemy and Guitar Center are in bed together, and the ad says it only applies to current stock, so we'll see if they go for it or not... --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "Brian" <synthmusic@y...> wrote: > > In a recent post, I mentioned I'd upload images of the Guitar Center

Actually, they aren't in bed together, they are the same company. Good job getting the guitar center doofus's to compete with the web special price from his own company :> I'll never buy from them again, they managed to fuck me over just one too many times. The final straw - the kept re-back ordering an item and then they finally just dropped the order - without telling me. I found out when I went to the order page to check. All the while, they kept telling me that the were 'in touch with the manufacturer' and would receive the new shipment any day now. Looking back, I can see that the clueless fuckwit at the end of the line was just reading from a call chart. I've spent about ten thousand dollars on gear from them, building out a corporate media studio, and buying my toys at home. I really wish I'd spent it somewhere else now. Another tip - the 'expected shipment date' is total bullshit. Another time I had tried to buy some behringer gear from them, ordered it, and went to behringer's site, to find out that it wasn't going to be available for several months after the shipping date on MF's page. The girl at MF told me that they always recieved advanced shipments from their manufacturers, thanks to their size. Guess what? The unit was back ordered, and back ordered, and back ordered. Same story as the one they dropped. Fucking shitheads - it's one thing when it's a bunch of toys you are buying, it's something else entirely when you job depends on gear. In either case, I'm not standing for their corporate bullshit any more. Try altomusic.com, - they are super competitive, and small enough to give you personal attention. They'll have no problem giving you a better price than guitar center. YM usually V, but in this case, one size fits all. bIz ------------ http://www.groovetronica.com - "Well, it hasn't made it into our playlist, I'm afraid. Hi all, I'm looking to pick up an XL-7, and live pretty close to a GC. However, they want to charge $699 for the XL-7, which seems a little high. I was looking for these images, but I cannot locate them under 'Files' or 'Photos'. Were they taken down because the deal is no longer on? Any help would be hot. Thanks, Bill --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "Brian" <synthmusic@y...> wrote: > > In a recent post, I mentioned I'd upload images of the Guitar Center

Thanks. I'm just going to get it from American Musical. They have it for $499, plus you can spread it out over 3 months, but get the item right away. And I'll save about $50 in sales tax + free shipping. This group has been pretty helpful in making a decision on which module to buy. It was between the XL-7 and the K0rg EM-1. Although I like the step sequencer on the EM, the XL is just way more powerful and expandable. Plus, I can easily upload my own sequences via MIDI. Xl-7 has a step sequencer too, just like the EM-1, but it's in two rows of
8, instead of 1 row of 16.
