'Searching for OS' error

when i boot holding down the cursor buttons, the LCD says 'Searching 
for OS...' but never goes any further.  is there something wrong with 
my unit?

Uhm- don't boot while holding the cursors down?

Or- are you trying to load the now OS?

yes, i'm trying to load OS 2.0.  that's why i am holding down the two 
cursors.  it seems to stall after saying 'searching for OS...'  
i guess a good question would be: how much further does it go?  does 
it say anything after 'searching for OS...'?  should i be expecting 
to see something more?

Read the FAQ- you have to have BOTH midi IN and OUT
connected to the host PC...

well, i do have midi connected to the interface.  can you tell me if 
your machine gets further than 'Searching for OS...'  if it does go 
further, then i know my unit has a problem.  it's just that i need to 
know another users angle.  thanks

at this point the unit is waiting for you to fire up E-loader and 
start the DL of the new OS.  So do it!!!  :-)  Its pretty self 
explanatory once you select the OS option in eloader.
