i did some experimenting with a 13/8 sig.... in order to get to the 
stuff in grid mode, i had to hit play and then stop to advance the grid 
to the second half of the "bar"

This is another case where having more control over the edit position 
(independent of playback position) would be useful. I was messing around 
with 5/4 the other day and found it a little tricky to access the extra beat.
