Remove instead of cut

Remove instead of cut

2001-11-30 by nifflas@musician.org

Sometimes the cut command must be used to remove tracks 'n stuff...
but then you'll loose what you already have in the clipboard, and
sometimes that's not good :(

Perhaps you should add an "remove" option that works like "cut" but
doesn't overwrite what's already in the clipboard.

try erase all track events, selecting the track(s) you want. though I guess
you don't get the bar range...

Exactly, and there can be a whole lot of track events.

Let's just hope for the feature in the next OS anyway =)

That would be a nice feature. Because Pasting is a merge feature and not a replace one (bummer sometimes), you need to use Cut to remove measures you don't want. I try and Cut stuff I don't need before I Copy a measure to the Clipboard for the very reasons you mention! Not a big deal, but a weird one...
