The Scoop on the PX7

The Scoop on the PX7

2003-06-05 by Wesley D

Haha, I bet you thought "I" knew it

Welp, just the opposite, I am hoping that someone out there can tell me how soon this machine is going to be available and about what the actual street price is going to be.

I was about to buy an XL-7, but seeing as how I've already got an XL-1, and the resale value of that is almost less than half of when I bought it, why not go for the box that isn't ugly orange, and has a different ROM set.

Seriously, that silvery white looks soooo much better than 'orange'.
I've always hated that about my XL-1, not to mention the whole 'X-treme' thing. Everything's gotta be extreme these days.... sheesh.

But yeah, considering the look, and the ROM, and what I've already got, this thing looks like what I need.

Peacez,

Wesley D.

You'll be the first to know. I'm sure this list will get some info as
soon (or sooner) as it's available...

$995?

What is Emu smoking?
Oh wait, I know people who work there, never mind :p

Seriously tho- all it is is a new ROM and new paint
job-
And we all know the ROM will be on sale for the usual
$279 fairly soon.

Made In USA/China?

2003-06-11 by Nathan Seven

So I bought an XL7 when it first came out, and it said
"Made in the USA" on the bottom.

I sold it, and just recently bought another one-
This one says "Made in the China" :p

And- damn it if the buttons dont seem just a little
flimsier than I remember and the pads have a subtly
different feel-

Am I on crack here?
Are there any tangible differences between the
USA/China models?

That's list price, lets see what they actually go for once they're
released. I agree though, you could get a XL-7 now ($499) and buy the
drum ROM later ($279) and still have money in the bank, plus double the
sounds :)
