Erik,

Nice job on the remix! The new intro really has a power to it that renders the old one
merely "interesting". It seems that somehow you were able to address the out of tune guitar issue
as well. I had both your versions playing back to back on WinAmp and every time the earlier
version came on, the guitar made me wince and I'd turn it right back to the latest version.
Anyway, the guitar sounds much nicer.

One other observation, about 2/3 of the way through the piece it starts to fade as if the
piece were ending. Then it comes back in. This happened in a similar way with the first edit,
though the 2nd one feels somewhat awkward, as if the piece really were ending as opposed to fading
parts in and out so that the high vocal sound could come through better. I guess I'm saying that
it's confusing to me as a listener.

Overall, it sounds like you've done some tweaking with FX and remolded the piece quite
nicely. It's also great to hear a song in process like this. It helps refine my own ear and
sensibilities by listening to someone else struggling to "get it right".

     Stephen

>>>Thanks, I ran the guitar parts trhough a reverse transducer with
applied inverse bessel functions. After I had processed them this way, I
swapped the left and right channels conversely and then phase inverted
only the upper harmonics to give it that extra "tunefulness". Actually I
ran the orginal guitar parts through some tuners to check them after you
pointed that out and they were spot on, so ummm... I didn't do anything to
them :) <<<
