taking the xl7 thru airport x-raymachine - bad idea?

taking the xl7 thru airport x-raymachine - bad idea?

2003-05-07 by dwoodaman

I am going to be travelling with an xl7 - do I need to have them hand
inspect it at the airport, instead of running it thru the x-ray
machine? Would the x-rays affect the flash ram?
And does anyone know the life expectency of the flash ram?
thx
Dana

Nope. X-rays should be fine. They may, however, think the XL-7's a
bomb or something...

Just about forever. I posted some flash life expectancy math not too
long ago.

I've taken the MP-7 through many x-ray machines, and usually don't
even have to take it out of the soft case.

one thing about airplanes and equipment...make sure you get on the plane first and that
you have enough room to store it. i took a keyboard on and my 505 on a plane
once...nobody was happy with me. it wasnt too tuff to store my things as i told them at the
gate, i need to get on this plane and save an overhead bin. they will definatly x ray it,
and probably ask you to turn it on. : )
