Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I managed to get lucky and come into a bit of extra cash so im upgrading the studio. I purchased the techno synth construction yard rom today(the pure phatt and beat garden are on the way!) and i noticed it comes with no new patterns. My first question is, are there any factory patterns floating around for this rom i could load into my xl-7? how about beat garden? and i assume i can load the factory patterns from the mp-7 for the pure phatt right? Also as an aside to Realm, how is that Virus KC? I am thinking of ordering one of those as well.(my only other "keyboard" synth is an ancient Ensoniq ESQ-1 circa 1986.)

I assumed the same thing, the only reason i bought the xl-7 was bcos 
they were all sold out of mp-7's, but you cant load the mp-7 preset 
patterns into the xl-7, after e few emails to realm and the emu 
support they told me the factory mp-7 rom and the pure phatt roms are 
different, so blah blah blah blah, anyway, you cant play mp-7 
patterns on an xl-7, unless you get a hold of a factory mp-7 
rom....if u find 1 let me know!

beats, far more enjoyable and informative.

The Pure Phatt rom and the MP-7 rom are exactly the same.  It's just 
the presets that are different.

Not exactly as they have a different ROM ID.  The MP-7 ROM is 
designated as the "MROM" and the Pure Phatt ROM is designated as 
the "Phatt" ROM

I guess it all depends on which MP-7 you have.  Mine has a pure phatt 
rom in it. It's the same chip with a different name.  At least that's 
what the guys at E-mu told me.
