Actually, Emu never released Mac USB drivers for E-loader, so you can't
use it at all. You'll have to rely on Midi transfers, which offer the
same faetures, just slightly slower. You need to use Midi for updating
the OS anyway, so it wasn't entirely USB even on the PC side of things.

[xl7] link to World Expedition design note

2003-04-30 by just john

Ed Mann designed the "World Expedition" ROM, and I asked him something
about it on usenet (alt.fan.frank-zappa).

He has one comment about its design that may be of interest to preset
designers here.

Hey thanks, that was interesting. If you talk with him again see if maybe he
would be into doing a little write up on usefull techniques he used to make the
patches? I'm assuming that he did more than just the single sample per patch
for world expedition.

Think he'd be up to it?

If he's able to hold his own in a thread with Zoogz Rift, I'm sure he can
cope with sincere queries like that. It's a free usenet, so go ahead!

I'm on a different quest, for a different machine -- to find out who wrote
the patches on the Roland HPD-15.

I'm sure they were written/sampled in japan...
