I could never understand that from any manufacturer. It's like, doesn't anyone actually read the english manuals before they print them? rEalm Man, some roland manuals are almost comedic with the amount of gibberish in them. The vm3100 pro(with the studio pack, my recording setup.) is so bad it has brought me to tears on several occasions. How they get away with laughably bad manuals, ill never know. OK, Let's play nice. In E-Mu's defense, it is really hard to write a manual. In a perfect world the writer would have weeks with the FINAL VERSION OF the equipment before they had to write the manual. That would give them time to feel the flow of working with this cool new toy. Shake it, Twe= ak it, get to know it, not just about it, and write a wonderful manual. One that reads more like an adventure through this product rather that a group = of arranged facts. I always liked the useful tutorials, lots of little ones t= o learn not just where a menu parameter is, but how to tickle it the right wa= y. Unfortunately back here on our dopey planet, you write the manual and send it off to be printed before the product is even completed in many cases. Yes those fun loving addendums are the bastard step children of the = lastcool and nifty changes to the device that took place while the manual w= as offbeing printed and bound and stuff. You have to send these manuals out weeks ahead of time. Hopfully Procuct X will be working and in stock to ship when the manuals and the addendums from Kinkos arive. It's hard to write good manuals. :'( It's always way easier in the other world, not here. Call me Psycho but I've been there a few times .Anti-Fun. We were wondering why they couldnt be more like E-mu. Oh, and Roland could take some customer support notes from E-mu too. .... and product support... E- mu sets a high bar, and loyalty is their reward.

I think you missed the point. No-one was complaining about emu's manuals.
Furthermore, you don't seem to have had the pleasure of perusing the
literary ouevres brought to us by the Roland Corporation.

Actually Rolands manuals's are shizophrenic - Some obviously have some thought built into them and are very well put together, and others (Like the VM3100pro's) were written by crack ho-s after a good party. If you can call a bunch of screen shots a manual.
