Anyone usnig an RM1x with an XL-7 please let me know...

I'm thinking of starting a list just to deal with the interactions of the two...

     (º·.¸(¨*·.¸.¸¸...¸¸.¸.·*¨)¸.·º)
     «.· ° ·.groovetronica.com.· ° ·.»
4/2/03 - the all-new site is up and running!
     (¸.·º(¸.·¨'"'¨¨"¨¨'"'¨·.¸)º·.¸)

RM1x sequencer is a lot more powerful. LOt's of midi editing features,
probably the best box for pure sequencing power. Shitty sound though :)

Have you tried the RM1x's sequencer? It's completely different.

16 'sections' is hardly enough for a complete song, especially if you break down the drum kit. X-Mix will alleviate this a lot, but it nice to be able to assign each instrument to it's own track, and never deviate from that.

Furthermore, each yamaha pattern is actually the equivalent of 16 separate xl-7 patterns, all instantly switchable, with mute memory between them.

Those are the two biggest differences - the two units work really well together.
