WELL of course when you put together something this good and we pretty HAVE to
improve it ;) No seriously you have done an amazing job of adding stuff in,
Props to Aaron!! We will prolly put all manner of crazy stuff on our soon to be
new and improved wishlist (Can you believe us or what?!)

IMHO there are a couple of things that would really speed up grid record: 1) If
your display is set to display bar or the cursor is under current bar, turning
the knobs or hitting a part key wouldn't move the cursor from bar. I know this
is inconsistant with the current editing behavior of the cursors and the dial
but imagine just one turn of the knob after the current bar to edit the next
bar??? Can you picture it?? And they said you couldn't achieve perfection!!!

2)The other niggly wiggly (other than an undo?) is that the velocities of the
default channel buttons in step record are the last used velocity from the
knobs. I can deal with that except that if I am doing a lot of entry then
whenever I adjust a velocity I have to also reset the velocity for the next step
I enter - I think defaulting this to 110 or something might be usefull since you
can easily edit each of the steps now with the knobs (BRILLIANT feature by the
way! Heh...;) very nice) An option maybe would be good?

Once again I have say I am impressed with the results, and now you offer some
serious sequencing power that the other machines will find very hard to compete
with.

Where do I send the beer?

Yeah I know, I think I'm just not used to making several passes for drum loops.
I'll prolly get used to it and like it more than anything. Sure am glad that we
can get fussy over inconsequential stuff, means they did a really good job!

Hehe, I actually prefer it that way! Doh, different strokes for different
folks....

first wish for OS 2.0

2003-04-03 by pocketd@gmx.de

Hi,

my first order for a new OS are still controllers without parameterbreaks,
what they need is a soft-takeover.

Without that it´s more a recorder than a live instrument.

But I guess they will not get it.
Second would be editing controllers in grid mode.

someone know about this features in OS 2.0?

Christoph

another wish

A way to hold notes in grid mode. futre retro has the best way to do
this for 16th note sequencers by far. If you want a note to start on
note 1 and hold until note 9 just hold press 1, hold it down, then
press 9. IS THAT SO HARD E-MU ??????? this labor of setting the gate
time for each time you want to hold a note is garbage. And it makes
me do friggen M+A-TxH =sucks.

Also an undo would be cool.

Anyone agree ??

I'd be happy with a simple short cut button combo for Revert To Saved. :)

love the upgraded os myself. but i would love if there would be one
added feature.
ok when you go to the Controllers/Trigger Buttons Function i would
like there to be another function to trigger in my own patterns that i
have made 1-16. also have it to where i can set each pattern to play
however many times i want. one shot, loop once, loop twice, and so on.
I would love this feature for live use. It would serve as a really
powerfull midi sequencer with real rime phrase sampling. I dont know
but im sure its possible. in this mode you wouldnt even have to hit
the play button just trigger in your parts when you need them. That
way i could have my drummer trigger in certain parts leaving others
free for adding more layers. Can this be done? if so when could i
expect this?
thanks so much for the hard work on OS 2.0,
                     madpiston
