Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I want a new MIDI mode.

Since I use a MIDI keyboard to controll the XL-7, I only input stuff 
at channel 1.

I would like a mode where all MIDI messages recieved from channel 1 
is routed to the destenation of the selected track in realtime - BUT 
all the effects should still work as configured in the GLOBAL menu.

Also, if the destination "both" is selected for the current track, 
MIDI should be routed to both the internal and external port when you 
play something on the MIDI keyboard. If ext is selected, the MIDI 
data should ONLY be routed to the selected MIDI output when you play 
the midi keyboard, and of course this means "int" only goes to the 
internal synth.

This can be done in all software midi sequencers, so it's a big 
problem that a mode like this doesn't exist in the XL-7.

Maybe you could be a super cool Emu tech guy and put it in the files 
section of this group on Yahoogroups.com for us if we promise to keep 
quiet about it?  I know I for one would love to be able to explore the 
features of the new OS while I have time off work for the holiday.  ;) 

Oh ok, you already are a super cool Emu tech guy, but you'd be even cooler

that needs to be tested for a few more days, and its not 1.17. It's what
we call "flash Prep". Since the code has grown so much in this release,
it will be posted as a compressed file. Since your machines don't know
how to read a compressed file, you will need to download a pre DLI that
will tell them, ok, now you can read a compressed file. We call this
Flash Prep. Emulator 4 users will be familiar wih this. So next week it

Okey. I think I have to admit that you EMU guys are doing a very nice 
work! :) Now I don't even regret I bought the XL-7 anymore... I mean, 
the next OS update has everything I need.
