Problem syncing a Waldorf Q to the Xl7

Problem syncing a Waldorf Q to the Xl7

2002-03-27 by A.Ruesberg

hello

i´ve a serious problem syncing my Waldorf Q with my Xl7. I´ve set the Q
clock to auto and the Xl7 to send midi clock.
when i use percussive sounds (attack set to 0) on both machines, a Q
sound played by the arp or the step sequencer has a constant 20 msec
delay.

does anyone of you know a solution for this problem ? Or is anyone
using a similar setup that works ?

alexander

btw : i don´t have to work till tuesday. today would be a perfect day
for the deliviering the new os ;-)

a new beginning?

is there some sort of way i can do a master re-set or something?
maybe i'm not using the right term or missing it in the manual. but
i want to figure out a way that will erase all editing, sequencing
and any other sort of tweeking i've done and start from "scratch"/
factory-presets. can anyone help me?

Yep when you turn the box on hold down both the curser keys. You
will end up in a diagnostic mode. Scroll through till you see what
i rember to be ini. You get a couple of options as to what you want
to INI.

Hope that helps.

If you don't want ANY patterns in the box (even the factory ones),
Reinitialize User Data. If you do want to keep the patterns, do a
Reinit Except Seq. Both functions are available in diagnostics mode,
accessible via booting up with both cursors held till you see the diag
screen. The aforementioned items are #16 and #17. Note that this will
reset EVERY master setting and EVERY user preset, and the full one will
erase EVERY sequence.

Re: [xl7] Problem syncing a Waldorf Q to the Xl7

I believe that's a known problem with the Q, not the XL-7 fault.
I've read somewhere it's a bug.
Check out google or the waldorf list.
