Powermac G4 with MP-7

Powermac G4 with MP-7

2003-03-21 by kacy.rayburn@kmzr.com

I've just purchased a Powermac G4 and I was wondering with the OS CD that
came with my unit when I first purchased it; can I download the information
off the cd to the MP-7 using the G4 USB connect to the MP-7? or do I need
to use a PC?

You'll need to use a PC, no USB drivers for the Mac yet (if ever). I'd
get the latest files (OS and E-Loader) off the Emu site too, probably much
more up to date than the installation CD.

True, a PC will be necessary to use a direct USB to USB connection, but
with a (for example) USB MIDI interface, the Mac will work fine.
I just upgraded my MP7 OS with my ibook via MIDI with no problems.
Mac USB drivers (which were promised "summer 2002", remember?) and OSX
e-loader would be nice, though. Hello, emu?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
