Some people witnessed the PX-7 at the Musikmesse:

Let's get a poll rolling about what its colour is gonna be...
I'd say silver and blue, like the PK-6. :)

Wow, good find! Damn, I'd be willing to trade my XL-7 for that slick looking
box + X-lead ROM.

That's sharp! Looks like it's a lot easier to read than my MP-7

Why? All that appears different is the colour.

Aaron already told us this :) You guys are behind on the times! PX-7 is
a grey and blue Command Station with the P2500 rom, as well as a brand new
Studio Drums ROM. No word on price or availability yet.

A lot of people don't like the current colors, myself included. Which is
why I painted it:

Do have any tips on painting the command station case:
type of paint to use, etc. How did you get the button
and knob labels so good.

Kinda looks like an old Roland TR series. TR-727 especially. it
would fit with a table full of old school Drum machines.

I sorta thought that my XL-7 was a little ugly but not ugly in a bad
way. It was nice to get some variety on my table. Black rack units,
white and off white for TR's and Computer Monitor. and then Silver
and blue for the korg EA-1. it was nice to get some varity. tho I
gotta admit rEalm's XL7 is real dope looking.

I need to add this to the FAQ I think :)

Tips? Use good quality automotive paint, most places that sell it will be
able to mix up some in spray can for you. Let it dry really, really well
in between coats, you can't be in a hurry to do this. Also, a good
quality clear coat over the whole thing will help it look nice too. As
for the lettering, I had a graphics shop silkscreen it for me, and they
did a great job. They still have the screen too, so I can get other ones
done if people are interested. It's expensive as I've said before, close
to $90-100 each depending on how many I take to them at once. They were
the only place I could find to do it though, and specialize in high
quantity runs, thus the high price for single items. Let me know if
anyone's interested.
