I have a Roland D-10 Keyboard, with no manual, I have m4 midi cables male2male, 2 midi cables from my PC male2male with gender changers on the end. I have the D10 out going to the in on the MP-7 and thru going to the in on the pc. My problem is why the midi in on the MP- 7 is constantly blinking fast. Is this bad for the MP-7? or anything in my setup? DJ_vgrep

No, that's normal and nothing to worry about. My MIDI-in light is blinking quickly even as I type this. --- * just-john@... http://just-john.com/cn/rfe.shtml *

Most likely it is sending Midi Active Sensing (Just lets other equipment know it's around) and or midi clock (tempo) information...

> OK. dumb question. why does it do this? If the MIDI light is blinking 4 or 5 times a second, then something is generating Active Sensing messages. If the light is glowing, then it's probably a MIDI clock source. -- nick rothwell -- composition, systems, performance -- http://www.cassiel.com
