while i;m at it...

while i;m at it...

just another question...and this is more of a general audio thing...

if i wanted to import/upload some patterns to the xl-7.. and they are
made at one tempo...in this case 120 bpm, is there a way i can put this
into a pattern at like.. 180 bpm, and not fundamentally change the
sounds/lengths of the notes in the first pattern?... short of writing
everything at 120 bpm, sampling it, and then triggering that while i
play my spastic drums over it?

You might be able to do a midi time stretch BEFORE you uplaod them,
depending on what program you are using. It is by far, midi effects such as
this, that would be nice to have in the xx7s. In lieu of that, the only
other way I could think of (and maybe an easier one even), would be to,
instead of uploading the sequence, just play it at 120 in the software
sequencer, and record the midi output live on the xl7 at 180bpm.
