From: David To: xl7@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, February 05, 2003 2:36 PM Subject: Easy way to record and separate tracks in cubase? I have a question for the CUBASE guru's in here. Is there an easy way to dump my audio into 16 tracks in cubase? I would like a track for each sequenced track. Right now I'm just subbing each track of each pattern of the song and hitting the record button. . . Painful... [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Yes - everything at once, then split by channel. Alternately, use the USB port. bIz

Do I have to change each pattern to Dest: both unnder channel assign? I'm recording the input, but the track is showing up under ALL channels - 1-16 in cubase... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jonathan El-Bizri" <sserendipity@...> To: <xl7@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 05, 2003 3:55 PM Subject: Re: [xl7] Fw: Easy way to record and separate tracks in cubase? > That shouldn't be problem - the program changes are recorded too. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: David > To: xl7@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Wednesday, February 05, 2003 1:06 PM > Subject: Re: [xl7] Fw: Easy way to record and separate tracks in cubase? > > > I thought of that but my problem is that I have different instruments in > different parts of the song... > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jonathan El-Bizri" <sserendipity@...> > To: <xl7@yahoogroups.com> > Sent: Wednesday, February 05, 2003 3:02 PM > Subject: Re: [xl7] Fw: Easy way to record and separate tracks in cubase? > > > > > > Yes - everything at once, then split by channel. > > > > Alternately, use the USB port. > > > > bIz > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: David > > To: xl7@yahoogroups.com > > Sent: Wednesday, February 05, 2003 12:52 PM > > Subject: [xl7] Fw: Easy way to record and separate tracks in cubase? > > > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: David > > To: xl7@yahoogroups.com > > Sent: Wednesday, February 05, 2003 2:36 PM > > Subject: Easy way to record and separate tracks in cubase? > > > > > > I have a question for the CUBASE guru's in here. Well, the only way I can think of to speed it up, would be to use a multiple input sound card an then the sub outs on the XL-7. At least then you could 6 tracks at a time in theory (3 tracks in stereo), though you'd lose the effects on the sub outs. Other than that, I can only recommend what I do, one track at a time and read a magazine while it records :) rEalm
----- Original Message ----- I have a question for the CUBASE guru's in here. Is there an easy way to dump my audio into 16 tracks in cubase? I would like a track for each sequenced track. Right now I'm just subbing each track of each pattern of the song and hitting the record button. . . Painful... [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
