I have a question for the CUBASE guru's in here. Is there an easy way to dump my audio into 16 tracks in cubase? I would like a track for each sequenced track. Right now I'm just subbing each track of each pattern of the song and hitting the record button. . .

Painful...

Yes - everything at once, then split by channel.

Alternately, use the USB port.

I thought of that but my problem is that I have different instruments in
different parts of the song...

That shouldn't be problem - the program changes are recorded too.

Re: [xl7] Fw: Easy way to record and separate tracks in cubase?

2003-02-05 by David

Do I have to change each pattern to Dest: both unnder channel assign? I'm
recording the input, but the track is showing up under ALL channels - 1-16
in cubase...

Well, the only way I can think of to speed it up, would be to use a
multiple input sound card an then the sub outs on the XL-7. At least then
you could 6 tracks at a time in theory (3 tracks in stereo), though you'd
lose the effects on the sub outs. Other than that, I can only recommend
what I do, one track at a time and read a magazine while it records :)
