Sending nrprn data to control Electribes from XL7

Sending nrprn data to control Electribes from XL7

2003-02-05 by sdp_london <stevephome@btinternet.com>

Does anyone know what the easiest way to do this would be, and if it
would be possible for me to use multiple knobs on the XL7 to control
Electribe data?

I think they are supposed to work by sending a message on cc #s 98 &
99 which define what parameter cc# 6 controls. I don't see how that
can all me to change more than at once though.

Also, has anyone had any success changing patterns on Electribes with
the Emu? My problem is that the program change misses the start of
the pattern so they always change one cycle too late.

Any advice most gratefully received.

Ta,

Steve

The actual program changes are a bit messy, and it requires three messages, two
nrpn's and a change message to work correctly. If you put this in your midi
file from cubase or something then copy this into your XL7 it should work in
theory. Bottom line sequence from your computer first.
